A forwarded message is not a notice
Forwarding can spread a real update or a damaged one. The notice is the file from the organisation. The message is only the envelope.
Sharda News will publish explainers and, when we have checked them, reported updates. We will not publish a forward as news. You can use the same distinction on your phone.
The envelope and the letter
The message is the envelope. The notice is the letter: a PDF or a page on a site the organisation controls. If you cannot find the letter, you do not yet know what is being claimed. MyGov is one official place where citizen-facing updates are posted. It is not the only one.
Before you tap forward
Open the link. Check the domain. If the message adds a fee, a phone number, or a sense of panic that is not on the page, leave those additions out. Point people at how to verify a job notice or at the scheme page instead.
