A practical way to start computer learning
Start with one skill you can practise this week — typing, files, or a first programming exercise — and keep the lessons in a place you can return to.
Computer learning stalls when the first week is a pile of tabs. Pick a narrow path and practise it until it is boring. Boring is a sign you can do it again tomorrow.
Three honest starting points
- Typing, in English or Hindi, for a short daily session.
- Files and folders: save, rename, and find a document without searching the whole phone.
- A first coding exercise in a language your course actually teaches, such as Python or C, if you have a lab to use.
Sharda Students is the learning space in this network: courses, tutorials, typing practice, and a coding lab. It is for practice. It is not a job notice and it is not a government scheme.
If a page mixes “free laptop” or “guaranteed job” with a computer course, separate the claim from the syllabus. Read the syllabus. Leave the promise until you can find it on a page that is willing to be specific.

Questions this article answers
Do I need a course before I touch a keyboard?
No. Typing practice is a reasonable first hour. A course helps when you want a sequence rather than random videos.
What should I ignore at the start?
Lists of tools you have not used, and any promise about a job outcome. Learn the next small skill.
