Two PDFs can both say “assistant” or “constable” and still be different recruitments. Comparing them takes ten quiet minutes and saves a wrong form.

Put them side by side

For each file, note the issuer, the advertisement number if there is one, the date on the first page, the name of the post, and the last date to apply. If any of those differ, do not merge the instructions.

A screenshot crops the page number and the logo. Open both files in full. If one of them is only a photo of a screen, go back to the checks for an official notice and download a real copy.

National Career Service is one place to look up employers and openings. The recruitment body’s own notice remains the document you apply against.
