Save the acknowledgement after you submit a scheme form
The acknowledgement is the proof that a form left your hands. Save the number, the PDF, and the time. Do not rely on a screenshot of only the success animation.
The nervous part of a government scheme form is the minute after you press submit. That is also the minute when people forget to save the page.
Before you close the tab
Download the acknowledgement if there is a button. If there is a number, write it in your notes and in a photo of the full screen, including the site address. Note the date and the name of the scheme page you used. A crop that shows only a green tick is hard to use later.
Where to keep it
Put the file next to the notice you applied against, so a future you can see which rules you followed. If a counter submitted the form for you, ask them to send that same file to your phone before you leave. The questions in the counter checklist belong here too.
